The short version: we collect the information needed to run the site, manage accounts, respond to you, and operate the beta. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or run advertising or audience-analytics trackers on this website.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Beta requests: name, email address, and any company, role, or intended-use details you choose to submit.
- Account information: name, email address, authentication credentials, account identifiers, and account or access status. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we do not receive your password in readable form.
- Communications: the contents of messages you send us and the contact information needed to respond.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site, our hosting, security, and authentication providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, and security or error events. Signed-in sessions also use essential browser storage to keep you authenticated. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- review beta requests and communicate about eligibility, onboarding, product updates related to your request, or support;
- create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the website and prevent abuse;
- understand requested professional workflows and improve product planning; and
- comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases are performance of a contract or steps you request before entering one, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service and evaluating the beta, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it.
How we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above:
- Supabase provides account authentication and related infrastructure.
- Formspree processes and delivers beta-request submissions.
- Cloudflare provides hosting, network delivery, security, and—when enabled on a form—Turnstile bot protection.
- Professional advisers and authorities may receive information when reasonably necessary for legal, security, compliance, or corporate-transaction purposes.
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their processing is governed by their own terms and our arrangements with them.
No sale, targeted advertising, or profiling
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use personal information from this website to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, the site does not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share” link. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide required choices before the change applies.
Retention
We keep beta-request information for up to 24 months so we can evaluate and administer the preview, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we need it longer for a documented legal or operational reason. Account information is kept while your account is active and ordinarily deleted or de-identified within 90 days after a verified deletion request, subject to backups, fraud prevention, security, and legal obligations. Communications and limited security records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. You may also object to or request restriction of certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or request a portable copy where applicable. You can unsubscribe from optional marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us.
To make a request, email alex@sim-plates.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may use an authorized agent where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not submit confidential client materials, footage, credentials, or sensitive personal information through the beta-request form.
Children
The website and product preview are intended for professionals and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.
External services
The site may link to services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. A link does not mean that this policy applies to the destination.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website and product develop. We will post the revised policy here, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. We will not use previously collected information in a materially different way without appropriate notice or consent.
