Windows calibration¶
Use AlexPearce3D Studio to inspect an LED wall's signal path, balance a camera against gray, and prepare a full OpenVPCal correction through a guided desktop workflow. This Windows application currently runs separately from the Mac app; integration into Stage setup is planned.
The Windows development QA build is supplied separately for testing. This guide does not announce a public download or general Windows availability for Studio.
Development QA
Real DeckLink/KONA capture, SDR/PQ wall output, SX40 apply/readback/restore, and live Studio account access still require hands-on verification. Demo results and numerical fits do not qualify a physical stage.
| Start here | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Practice offline | Learn the controls without a camera, wall or processor. |
| Install and connect | Set up the Windows package, camera input and SX40 IP connection. |
| Quick Balance | Camera white balance on gray, then temperature/tint adjustments. |
| Full calibration | Capture or import the full sequence and calculate a correction. |
| Apply and remeasure | Deliberately apply a reviewed correction, then compare a separate measurement. |
| Troubleshooting | Understand findings and ask local Studio Operator for help. |
| On-stage checklist | Record the setup and perform the pending physical checks. |
The processor IP connection carries setup/control requests. Patches reach the wall through this PC's GPU video output and the processor's video input. Camera input color and wall output encoding are separate settings.
Supported processor contracts are Brompton SX40 with Tessera 3.4.9 or 3.5.2, one processor at a time. Live adapters target Blackmagic DeckLink and AJA KONA. Physical device compatibility remains to be tested.
