Practice offline¶
Choose Demo… in the toolbar, then select a scenario. The header and window title show DEMO / OFFLINE. Every scenario starts a separate session with an in-memory processor fixture and generated camera images.
| Scenario | What to explore |
|---|---|
| Quick Balance | Matched gray and a fictional camera WB reading; try Manual Offsets and the candidate preview. |
| Full Calibration / SDR | Follow Next through actual packaged worker jobs to Results. |
| Full Calibration / HDR PQ | Run the same workflow with PQ and 23.976 timing. |
| Exposure Failure | Review the exposure finding and ask Operator about exposure. |
| Clipped Highlights | Review the clipping finding and its recapture guidance. |
| Chart Detection Failure | Review chart framing/ROI recovery. |
The failure scenarios inject explicitly labeled findings into saved synthetic analyses. Retry Analysis runs the actual engine against clean synthetic captures, so the injected finding can disappear. These cases demonstrate recovery controls; they do not measure a faulty physical stage.

Quick Balance in Demo: the camera reading is fictional and operator-declared.

SDR Results from the packaged engine and synthetic captures.

Exposure Failure highlights a deliberately injected camera-exposure finding.
Next Frame advances the image sequence. At its end, Replay returns to frame one and reapplies the demo input transform. Reload the Quick Balance scenario to regenerate its matched gray sample after replacing the source.
Open Operator or press Ctrl+K and use Diagnose Local. Try:
- “Why did calibration fail?”
- “What should I check for exposure?”
- “open results”
Demo blocks physical processor connection, wall presentation, live capture, correction deployment and hosted Operator requests. Saved demo corrections remain marked as demo and cannot be deployed to a physical processor.
Choose Demo… → Exit Demo / New Session before starting real work. Keep demo files separate from your stage's measurements.
